Job summary

WHSmith Travel is hiring a Sales Assistant for an 18-hour contract split between its Norwich Hospital (M&S Available Here store) and Norwich Airport branches. The role requires flexibility for early opens/late closes and a rota across four set shifts Sunday–Saturday.

You will provide exceptional customer service, stock replenishment, and maintain attractive displays while supporting the team. 5 years of continuous references, a DBS check, and photographic ID are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years continuous references required to gain airport pass.
• Criminal Records Bureau Check to be completed by WHSmith if your application is successful.
• Photographic ID (passport or UK Driving Licence) required.

Role details:

18 hour sales assistant contract split between Norwich Hospital (M&S Available Here store) & Norwich Airport branches. 4 set working days ranging Sunday to Saturday, detailed below

Must be available for 5am opens/8pm closes based on sickness/holiday. Current set working pattern:

Tuesday: 7:00am-12:15pm (Norwich Hospital)

Wednesday: 7:00am-12:15pm (Norwich Hospital)

Thursday: 10:00am-14:15pm (Norwich Airport)

Friday: 8:00am-12:15pm (Norwich Airport)

As a Sales Assistant you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers, and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us.

Airport Requirements:

• 5 years continuous references – to gain an airport pass you will need to provide 5 years’ worth of either employment or education references without any gaps
• Criminal Records Bureau Check – to be completed by WHSmith if your application is successful
• Photographic ID i.e. passport or UK Driving Licence
