Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited's Pipe and Climate Centre in Cambridge is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers at the trade counter and grow branch sales. You’ll handle phone and email inquiries, assist on the shop floor, and support warehouse tasks while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service.

This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week, with weekday hours and a benefits package including leave, pension, and healthcare.

• Sales or customer service experience.
• Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by identifying their requirements and providing product recommendations.
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email efficiently, courteously and with a can-do attitude.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries and ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.

As a Sales Assistant in Cambridge, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by identifying their requirements and providing product recommendations.
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email efficiently, courteously and with a can-do attitude.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries and ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am – 17:00pm with 1 hour break. No weekend work required.
