Job summary

Rohan in Swinfen is looking for a part-time Sales Advisor for a 5.5 hour Sunday contract at our Swinfen store. The role centers on delivering excellent customer service for our outdoor gear range.

You will motivate the sales team, maintain tidy stockrooms, communicate clearly, manage security, and assist customers with queries. Flexible, friendly candidates with retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and goal orientation.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and inspire other Sales Team members to achieve shop targets.
• Maintain stockrooms to a high standard; keep shop neat and tidy.
• Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrate excellent timekeeping.
• Be aware of security issues and prevent stock loss.
• Provide advice and suggestions to customers when needed.
• Engage with customers and make them feel welcome.

We are currently recruiting a new part time Sales Advisor for a 5.5 hour Sunday contract here at our Swinfen store.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and set an exemplary standards of customer service in the shop at all times. You will enjoy dealing with our customers in a friendly and efficient manner and will always be happy to help with any queries they may have.

You will also:

• Be able to motivate and inspire other members of the Sales Team in order to achieve shop targets
• Ensure the stockrooms are maintained to a high standard, and also that the shop is clean, neat and tidy at all times.
• Be capable of clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Be an excellent timekeeping
• Have full awareness of security issues, (e.g. stock loss prevention)
• Give advice and suggestions where necessary
• Engage with the customer and make them feel welcome

What will you need?

• You will have good organisational and communication skills and enjoy giving great customer service and achieving goals.
• To fulfil this exciting role you will possess excellent Customer Service skills, which you will have gained within a retail environment, ideally within the outdoor industry.

Additionally, you must have the following qualities:

• Previous retail experience preferred but not essential
• Good selling skills
• Well presented
• Interest in the outdoors preferred but not essential
• Flexible
• IT Literate
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Approachable
