Job summary

Vacancy Filler in Bridgend is seeking a Part-time Sales Advisor for our Bridgend store on an 8-hour fixed-term contract for 3 months. You will deliver excellent customer service while helping customers choose gear for outdoor adventures.

You will maintain stockrooms and shop presentation, communicate clearly, and be mindful of security. If you enjoy a friendly, fast-paced retail environment and the outdoors, this role is for you.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills in a retail setting.
• Good selling skills and well-presented appearance.
• Interest in outdoors preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stockrooms to a high standard and keep the shop clean and tidy.
• Provide clear written and verbal communication.
• Maintain good timekeeping.
• Be aware of security issues, including stock loss prevention.
• Offer advice and suggestions to customers when needed.
• Engage with customers and make them feel welcome.

Your next destination

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and set an exemplary standards of customer service in the shop at all times. You will enjoy dealing with our customers in a friendly and efficient manner and will always be happy to help with any queries they may have.

You will also:

• Ensure the stockrooms are maintained to a high standard, and also that the shop is clean, neat and tidy at all times.
• Be capable of clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Be an excellent timekeeping
• Have full awareness of security issues, (e.g. stock loss prevention)
• Give advice and suggestions where necessary
• Engage with the customer and make them feel welcome

What will you need?

You will have good organisational and communication skills, and enjoy giving great customer service and achieving goals. Tofulfil this exciting role you will possess excellent Customer Service skills, which you will have gained within a retail environment, ideally within the outdoor industry.
