A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Non-Contentious Construction lawyer to join its Real Estate division as a Salaried Partner, based in Bristol. This is a strategic opportunity for a senior professional to lead complex matters, drive business development, and contribute to the growth of a nationally recognised construction practice.

The Role

This senior-level position offers a high-impact caseload and leadership responsibilities, including:

  • Acting as lead lawyer on complex, high-value non-contentious construction matters
  • Advising on development projects, procurement strategies, and standard/bespoke construction contracts
  • Supervising junior fee earners and ensuring profitable, high-quality file management
  • Building and managing client relationships, including key account development
  • Driving business development initiatives and expanding into new sectors and markets
  • Generating thought leadership and market insights to attract new opportunities
  • Collaborating with the Head of Construction and Real Estate leadership to deliver the business plan
  • Managing team performance against financial and non-financial KPIs
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a construction law specialist with:

  • 8+ years PQE in non-contentious construction law, ideally from a national or regional firm
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction law and procurement frameworks
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client-facing skills
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to business growth
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to client service excellence
