Job summary

Blacketts Medical Practice is recruiting a salaried GP to fill a vacancy left by a partner's retirement. The role focuses on patient-centred general practice, with scope to develop special clinical interests such as minor surgery, vasectomy and joint injections.

The practice is a training site for GP trainees and FY2 doctors, offering 5–8 sessions per week, negotiable. Completed GP training or equivalent and an NHS England performers list entry are required.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• GP Specialty Training (CCT) completed or equivalent.
• GMC registration with licence to practise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-focused general practice care.
• Develop and pursue special clinical interests.
• Contribute to minor surgery, vasectomy, joint injections and women's health services.
• Teach, supervise and mentor GP trainees, FY2 doctors and medical students.
• Work across 5 to 8 clinical sessions per week, with the number negotiated.
