Job summary

South Street Surgery is recruiting a salaried GP to cover a retirement gap. The role involves a full range of general practice work, including routine and urgent consultations, long-term condition management, home visits, prescribing, and governance duties.

The post offers four to six sessions per week with some flexibility, in collaboration with GP partners, nurses, and locum support. Full GMC registration and MRCGP (or equivalent) are required to apply.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and MRCGP or equivalent to apply.
• Experience of working in UK general practice.
• Ability to manage a varied primary care workload safely and independently.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and revalidation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Routine and urgent patient consultations.
• Management of long-term conditions.
• Home visits where clinically appropriate.
• Prescription and medication management.
• Reviewing results and correspondence.
• Participation in clinical meetings and practice development.
• Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Contributing to high standards of clinical governance and patient care.
