Job summary

Balmoral Surgery in Deal invites a qualified General Practitioner to join the clinical team. The role involves assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, with prescribing and referrals as needed, in a six-session-per-week post within an established training practice.

Applicants should have GMC registration and be committed to continuing professional development, patient-centered care, and contributing to practice governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified General Practitioner

Responsibilities

• See approximately 25 patients each day, with appointments scheduled at 15-minute intervals
• Assess, diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Refer patients to secondary care and other professionals when clinically appropriate
• Prescribe safely in line with current guidance and practice policies
• Review and manage test results, clinical correspondence and investigations through practice systems
• Provide appropriate follow-up and safety-netting advice
• Contribute to chronic disease management and preventative care
• Keep accurate, up-to-date clinical records
• Collaborate with the practice nursing team, advanced clinical practitioner, paramedic and PCN services
• Participate in clinical meetings and practice discussions
• Support learning and development within the practice
• Contribute to practice development, quality improvement, clinical governance and significant event processes; follow procedures and promote equality, diversity and inclusion
