Job summary

Menlo Park Recruitment is seeking a Salaried GP for a well-regarded training practice just north of Plymouth. The role offers a truly manageable workload, a structured day with extensive admin time, and a hybrid working model. You will join a supportive, experienced team with strong continuity of care.

The practice supports a flexible schedule with 4–6 sessions per day, minimal home visits, and no traditional duty doctor model. Indemnity, NHS pension, and generous leave accompany the package.

Qualifications

• Qualified General Practitioner registered with GMC and UK Performers List.
• Experience in a GP Training Practice is advantageous.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a structured, low-visit model with admin support.

Responsibilities

• Provide GP services with a focus on continuity of care.
• Manage 4–6 sessions per day with 15-minute slots and protected admin time.
• Deliver care in a mix of face-to-face, calls and e-consults.

Job Overview

A genuinely manageable, well-structured GP workload. A highly regarded GP Training Practice just north of Plymouth is seeking a Salaried GP to join a stable, experienced team. This is a rare opportunity offering an exceptional sessional rate, hybrid working, and a well-supported, structured day with minimal home visiting and no traditional duty doctor model.

Salary & Benefits

• £12,750 per session for the first 6 months, then increasing to £14,450 per session

• 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave

Workload & Structure

• 4-6 sessions per day
• Less than 5 hours of clinical time per day
• 15-minute appointments
• Mix of face-to-face, calls and e-consults
• Extensive protected admin / task slots built into the day
• No traditional duty doctor model
• Acute Hub system in place
• First patient not until 09:30 when covering
• Minimal home visits
• Covered daily by Paramedic / ANP team
• Excellent continuity of care with your own patient list

Qualifications

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List.

Practice Details

The Practice is an established GP Training Practice with multiple trainers. It is a stable, long-standing Partnership. There is great feedback from GPs previously introduced (all still in post). There is a strong focus on reducing GP workload and ongoing workflow optimisation to cut admin burden.
