Job description

Opportunity for a GP to Join Our Welcoming Team

Peverell Park Surgery and the University Medical Centre are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic GP for 4-6 sessions per week to join our friendly and supportive team.

Due to an upcoming retirement of one of our team members, we have a further opportunity for a motivated individual to join us.

Why Choose Peverell Park Surgery?

At Peverell Park Surgery, our core values of Care, Experience, and Reputation underpin everything we do.

We offer:

  1. Patient-Centric Approach: We prioritise high-quality patient care through a well-established appointment system, allowing for effective 15-minute consultations with flexibility to adapt to demand.
  2. Innovative Practice: We leverage efficient telephone triage within a hub, a user-friendly website with online consultation capabilities through effective IT; trained Care Advisors for patient signposting, and streamlined Workflow Management administrators.
  3. Robust Partnership and Support: Benefit from a strong partnership model with 6 Partners, including a Managing Partner overseeing practice operations. Our extensive support team includes administrators, 15 salaried GPs, 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a physiotherapist, a dedicated prescription team with two in-house pharmacists and two pharmacy technicians, and a large team of nurses and HCAs, all collaborating to support our GPs.
  4. Commitment to Work-Life Balance: We actively foster a positive work environment, prioritising resilience and creating a calm, friendly atmosphere where everyone feels valued.
  5. Excellent Patient Satisfaction and Quality: We consistently achieve high patient satisfaction scores and were rated "Good" with areas of "Outstanding" in our 2016 CQC report. Our QOF results remain above 98% annually.
  6. Training and Development: We are a proud training site for medical students, GP registrars, nursing students, and pharmacists, fostering a culture of learning.
  7. Collaborative Environment: Benefits include daily clinical support meetings, regular MDT and educational sessions, social lunch breaks, and strong teamwork.
  8. Strong Community Links: We maintain well-established relationships within the wider community and actively participate in a collaborative 7-Practice PCN, sharing ideas and resources.
  9. Opportunities for Professional Growth: Our GPs are encouraged to pursue external interests, with involvement in local and national bodies such as CCG, PCN Clinical Directorship, GP appraisers, VTS trainers, Small Group Facilitators, and Pathway leads.
