Job summary

Brundall Medical Partnership, a friendly rural dispensing practice, is seeking a salaried GP to join our team for four sessions per week. Two sessions are on a Friday, with the remaining two negotiable, offering a supportive environment focused on continuity of care in a close-knit community.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, perform general GP duties in primary care, undertake home visits, manage repeat prescriptions, and contribute to audits and enhanced services while

Responsibilities

• Conduct surgery consultations and telephone queries.
• Visit patients at home and manage prescriptions and correspondence.
• Make autonomous clinical decisions within current practice guidelines.
• Record clear consultation notes and contribute to audits and QOF.
• Deliver enhanced services and compile acute and repeat prescriptions.

Brundall Medical Partnership is a friendly, supportive, rural dispensing practice, seeking to recruit a salaried GP to join our team for four sessions per week. For operational purposes, two of the four sessions would need to be worked on a Friday, with the remaining two sessions being negotiable and open to discussion with the successful candidate. As a dispensing practice, we provide a comprehensive service to our patients and value clinicians who enjoy delivering personalised care within a close-knit community setting., Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. The role will include all general duties & responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, as well as:

• Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations & queries, visiting patients at home, checking & signing repeat prescriptions & dealing with queries, paperwork, reports & correspondence in a timely fashion;
• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation;
• Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated & undiagnosed problems;
• Screening patients for disease risk factors & early signs of illness;
• Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients & in line with current practice disease management protocols;
• Providing health education;
• Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards;
• Collecting data for audit purposes & complying with QOF requirements;
• Delivering enhanced services;
• Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute & repeat prescriptions.
