Job summary

Bridge Street Surgery is a 2 partner, 3 salaried GP practice located in the Market Town of Brigg, North Lincolnshire. It is conveniently accessible via the motorway, approximately 3 miles from junction 4 of the M180. The area offers various amenities, including a Leisure Centre and Forest Pines Hotel and golf course within 3 miles. Brigg boasts unique shops, cafes, and pubs/restaurants. We are a dispensing practice with a list size of 7,500 patients, using the EMIS clinical system. Our core hours are 8.00am to 6.30pm, with extended hours as part of our PCN. We are a friendly, supportive practice working with a wider MDT, including Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physician Associate, ACP, Mental Health Nurse, FCP, Clinical Pharmacists, and CVD care co-ordinator.

We offer 6 weeks of annual leave plus Bank Holidays, NHS pension scheme, MDU membership, and a BMA contract.

Main duties of the job

• Providing care from initial history taking and assessment to diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation.
• Demonstrating critical thinking in clinical decision-making, assessment, and diagnostics to ensure safe patient care.
• Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet patient needs and support policies and procedures.
• Managing appointments, including bookable on the day and pre-booked slots.
• Completing admin tasks such as referrals and test requests, signing prescriptions daily, and actioning test results.
• Participating in monthly Practice/Clinical meetings.

About us

Our team includes 2 partners, 3 salaried GPs, a Physician Associate, 3 Practice Nurses, and 2 Healthcare Assistants. As part of a PCN, we share staff across three sites, including Pharmacists, ACPs, a Mental Health Nurse, and a Care Coordinator.
