Job summary

Bridge Education seeks a reliable School Cleaner/Caretaker to join a well-maintained school site in Tarleton, supporting the day-to-day running of the premises. This is a part-time, long-term position, responsible for ensuring the school environment is safe, secure and well-presented for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role requires basic maintenance skills, health and safety awareness, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking, facilities, maintenance or similar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across the school site.
• Ensure site security, including opening and closing the premises.
• Conduct regular health and safety checks.
• Maintain cleanliness of internal and external areas.
• Liaise with contractors and external providers where required.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the school site.
