Qualifications

• Degree (Level 6) in Science or Engineering or equivalent
• Membership in a professional institution desirable
• Clear and concise technical writing skills
• Effective communication with subject matter experts and independant challenge
• Knowledge of techniques: HAZID, DBA, PSA, SAA, Internal/External Hazards, Human Factors
• Knowledge of safety case structures and staged campaigns (PSRs, PCSRs)

Responsibilities

• Undertaking INSA and ITA of customer safety case documents to provide balanced advice
• Engaging with customer safety case specialists to inform INSA/ITA
• Presenting the S RM team’s view at meetings
• Advising on adequacy of safety management arrangements
• Production and delivery of safety case training courses
• Interfacing with other technical disciplines to assess safety case suitability
• Working with health, safety, environment, security and quality requirements and seeking improvements
