Job summary

MBDA invites undergraduates in Engineering, Physics or Astronomy to join the Safety and Reliability team for a 1-year placement starting September 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across the product lifecycle, evaluating safety and reliability of complex weapon systems and supporting concept through delivery.

Qualifications

Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Physics or Astronomy.
Interest in safety and reliability in the Defence sector.
Willingness to develop skills across safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

Develop a specialist background in Safety and Reliability Engineering within the Defence sector.
Support product development across different phases from conception to delivery.
Experience and application of Safety and Reliability Engineering techniques (Hazard Analysis, FMECA, FTA).
Build networks with stakeholders inside MBDA and with external partners to deliver safe and reliable products.
