Job summary

MBDA is offering a Safety and Reliability Engineer Summer Placement for 2027 in the UK. You will gain hands-on experience across the product lifecycle, working with the Safety and Reliability Department to ensure safe, reliable weapon systems.

The role involves supporting design teams and contributing to analyses such as FMECA, FTA, and safety/reliability case work, with a focus on growth into a graduate role.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate working towards a degree in Physics, Astronomy or Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electrical/Electronic, Systems and Safety Engineering.
• Interest in Safety and Reliability Engineering within Defence sector.
• Willingness to apply university learning to real-world projects.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and reliability assessment across product lifecycle.
• Assist design teams to deliver safe and reliable products on time and cost.
• Contribute to safety and reliability techniques and best practices.
• Liaise with MBDA stakeholders and external partners.
