National Grid is hiring a Safety Manager on a permanent basis. The location will be based from our Warwick office - Hybrid Working Policy
Join our Group Safety, Health and Wellbeing team at National Grid, where you will play a critical role in shaping the safety strategy for over 30,000 employees. As the Safety Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and leading the implementation of comprehensive Group-wide safety governance standards, policies, and assurance frameworks.
In this dynamic corporate role, you will ensure that all business units not only meet their safety obligations and compliance requirements but also excel in managing their own safety programmes. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering a culture of safety excellence across the organisation, driving continuous improvement, and safeguarding the wellbeing of our workforce during the largest overhaul of our electricity grid in generations.
You will support the Group Safety Manager and collaborate with US counterparts ensuring compliance with both UK and US regulations and industry best practices. As a key subject matter expert, you will provide strategic guidance and technical support to safety teams across diverse business units, fostering a robust safety culture and instilling accountability within Business Units and Functions.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 12% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
