Job summary

The Crown Estate is seeking a strategic leader to shape how quality and assurance underpin its Safety First agenda. You will drive the development, implementation, and continual improvement of management systems across the organisation, providing independent assurance that processes, data and controls are audit-ready.

You will influence senior stakeholders, translate strategy into practical outcomes, and champion data-driven, digitally enabled approaches to deliver safer, compliant operations

Qualifications

• Senior-level quality management qualification (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent).
• Health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality and assurance workstream, translating strategy into clear plans, standards and measurable outcomes.
• Own and continually improve the Safety First management system, ensuring alignment with legislation, ISO standards and industry best practice.
• Develop a risk-based assurance approach across projects, assets and operational activity.
• Use assurance data and reporting to identify risks, drive corrective action and support informed decision-making.
• Provide expert guidance and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders, colleagues and external partners.
• Champion the effective use of data, digital tools and AI to improve assurance and continuous improvement.
