Job summary

The Crown Estate is seeking a senior leader to drive quality, assurance and management systems. You will own the Safety First framework, embed governance, and ensure audit readiness across the organisation. You will work with senior stakeholders to translate strategy into practical, measurable outcomes.

You will lead the assurance data approach, champion digital tools and AI, and shape improvements across projects and assets, with a focus on risk-based decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Senior-level quality management expertise with audit/assurance focus.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent qualification required.
• Health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH preferred.
• Strong governance, audit methodology and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality and assurance workstream translating strategy into plans and measurable outcomes.
• Own and improve the Safety First management system aligning with legislation and standards.
• Develop risk-based assurance across projects, assets and operations.
• Use assurance data to identify risks, drive corrective action and inform decisions.
• Provide expert guidance and challenge to senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Champion data, digital tools and AI to enhance assurance and continuous improvement.
