Job summary

Viridor Limited is recruiting a Safety & Compliance Manager to oversee safety systems, programs and safe work methods at the Runcorn ERF. You will ensure permits and licenses are complied with, interpret emissions data and drive auditing and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on building a high-performance safety culture, managing risk, and leading a team in a start-up style environment while maintaining productivity and regulatory compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy from waste facilities or highly regulated environments.
• Proven leadership to build a new team in a start-up setting with a no compromise approach to health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Experience with permitted/regulated activities and processes, preferably within a controlled emissions environment.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety systems, procedures and safe systems of work.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits or licenses and emissions data interpretation.
• Develop working plans, auditing and risk assessments to maintain high safety standards.
• Work with Plant Manager to develop the site and maintain productivity with strict health, safety and environmental compliance.
