One of the leading companies in the nuclear sector is looking to bring in a Safety Case Engineer to join the growing team working on vast projects in the nuclear space. This is one of the best and well-known projects and companies in the sector.

Role type: Permanent

Location: Reading (or remote)

Salary: £50,000 to £80,000 depending on experience

Our client is looking for several Safety Case engineers to join their nuclear projects. With flexible and remote working options, they are open to candidates from all over the UK. They have requirements at all levels, including senior and principal positions.

You will be responsible for ensuring that engineering works are safe and secure by creating specialist plans and reviews. You will examine engineering activities and manage the delivery of the necessary safety aspects.

The role requires Security Clearance, so you must be a UK citizen with a British passport.

The role:

• Produce and design technical and general safety reports.
• Create strategies for hazard management.
• Author safety assessments in radiological work and hazard management.
• Participate in HAZID/HAZOP studies.
• Ensure an overview of safety case strategies is maintained.
• Serve as a company technical representative.
• Manage the delivery of work undertaken by the supply chain.

Experience / requirements:

• Engineering degree in engineering.
• Chartered engineer status.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with multiple teams.
• EPC experience (desirable).
• Membership in an engineering institute (desirable).
