Enfield are looking to recruit a Safer Spaces Practitioner to join our newly established integrated multi-agency wrap around Family Help Partnership Hub.
The Family Help Partnership Hub provides integrated, multi-disciplinary specialist support to family help teams, enabling earlier intervention, strengthening whole family working, and preventing escalation to statutory social care.
The Safer Spaces Practitioner role has been developed to ensure Enfield's family help response is child centred, trauma informed and aligned with national best practice, strengthening the visibility of children affected by domestic abuse within assessment, planning and intervention.
The Safer Spaces Practitioner is a specialist practitioner who provides trauma-informed consultation and time limited direct work to strengthen family help responses for children affected by domestic abuse with a focus on trauma informed recovery support.
Working alongside social workers and family help lead practitioners the postholder will contribute to single, whole - family plans, ensuring the voice, experience and needs of children and young people are central to assessment, planning and intervention.
The Safer Spaces Practitioner will provide specialist consultation to family help case holding practitioners on the impact of domestic abuse on children's emotional wellbeing, behaviour and development, and share guidance around trauma informed, age-appropriate approaches to engagement.
We are looking for enthusiastic and able Safer Spaces Practitioner who can demonstrate a good understanding of the diverse needs of children and show experience of being involved in applying a strength-based approach to supporting children affected by domestic abuse.
