Enfield Council’s Mental Health Enablement Service is hiring a Senior Social Worker to lead recovery-focused practice and help adults achieve independence. You will supervise colleagues, work with health, housing and community partners, and drive service development in a values-driven, strengths-based framework.

You will contribute to high-quality recording and outcome-focused practice, deputise for the Service Manager when needed, and support AMHP development within a growing specialist team at

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
• Strong knowledge of Care Act, Mental Health Act and safeguarding
• Experience in Adult Social Care and/or Mental Health Services
• Experience in a supervisory/lead role is desirable

Are you passionate about recovery-focused social work and helping people achieve greater independence? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Enfield's Mental Health Enablement Service as a Senior Social Worker at a pivotal time in our development. We are looking for an experienced and motivated practitioner to help shape and develop our innovative recovery-focused service. The Mental Health Enablement Service supports adults with severe and enduring mental health needs who have been referred through secondary mental health services. Through focused, time-limited interventions, typically lasting between three and six months, we work alongside individuals to build confidence, strengthen independence, improve wellbeing, and achieve their personal recovery goals. Our approach is rooted in strengths-based practice, promoting hope, resilience, social inclusion and community connections. Working in partnership with health services, housing providers, voluntary organisations and local communities, we support people to develop the skills, confidence and networks needed to live fulfilling lives. We’re looking for an ambitious and experienced Social Worker who shares our passion for recovery, strengths-based practice and high-quality social work. About The Service

The Mental Health Enablement Service supports adults with severe and enduring mental health needs to achieve greater independence, improve wellbeing and live fulfilling lives within their communities. Working alongside health colleagues, housing providers and voluntary sector partners, we deliver recovery-focused interventions that help people build confidence, reduce reliance on services and achieve positive long-term outcomes. We are entering an exciting new chapter as we prepare to move into our newly refurbished Mental Health Wellbeing Hub at Park Avenue, Enfield, and continue to develop a high-performing, evidence-based service.

About The Role

• Provide professional supervision, guidance and support to colleagues.

• Support practice education, safeguarding and Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) development where appropriate.

About You

You will be a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and have substantial post-qualification experience within Adult Social Care and/or Mental Health Services.

• Excellent knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation.
• Strong assessment, analytical and risk management skills.
• Excellent partnership working and communication skills.
• A commitment to recovery-focused and strengths-based practice..
• A passion for improving services and developing others.
