Job summary

Copleston High School is seeking an enthusiastic Alternate Safeguarding Lead to support the safeguarding team and help protect vulnerable students. You will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, manage safeguarding concerns, and collaborate with external agencies to plan targeted interventions.

You will build positive relationships with students and families, contribute to training, and support colleagues to ensure students receive appropriate help and protection.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at C/4 or above or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to safeguarding.
• Willingness to undertake DSL training and safeguarding-related training.

Responsibilities

• Support safeguarding and child protection across the school.
• Manage safeguarding concerns and liaise with external agencies.
• Provide targeted support and intervention for vulnerable students and families.
• Represent the school at multi-agency meetings and build strong relationships with partners.
