Safeguarding and Protecting Adults and Children

Safeguarding Practitioner

Band 6

Full time (37.5 hours per week)

We are excited to announce a vacancy within the LSCFT Safeguarding Team for a Safeguarding Practitioner. This role is pivotal in upholding the Trust’s commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable adults, children, and families.

About Us

Safeguarding is central to LSCFT’s governance framework. We are seeking someone with proven leadership experience and a track record of delivering exceptional care to society’s most vulnerable members. The successful candidate will be passionate about safeguarding and dedicated to providing reliable, high-quality, and safe services in an area of work that is both demanding and immensely rewarding.

The Opportunity

This full-time position is based in the Pennine locality, offering the chance to collaborate with Specialist Safeguarding Practitioners and Named Nurses in delivering clinical expertise across the safeguarding agenda for all LSCFT staff. The role includes rotation into the MASH health practitioner role, contributing to multi-agency decision-making processes.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking to recruit a registered nurse who has:

  • Experience working in challenging situations and navigating complex service needs.
  • A thorough understanding of national and local safeguarding issues affecting vulnerable adults and children.
  • A proven ability to excel in multidisciplinary teamwork and collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners.

While a solid foundation in safeguarding knowledge is essential, we offer robust support and professional development opportunities within our diverse and skilled team.

We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexibility in how, when, and where you work. We are happy to discuss your needs during the interview process.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS Clearance.
