Job summary

Redborne Upper School and Community College is seeking a proactive Safeguarding Officer to join our dedicated team. You will support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy DSL in developing a safeguarding culture across the school and in managing cases with discretion and empathy.

The role involves safeguarding and child protection duties, face-to-face interactions with students, staff, parents and external agencies, and contributing to a safe, supportive environment during term time

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational, youth or care settings.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection procedures.
• Excellent communication and administrative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the DSL and DDSL in developing safeguarding culture across the school.
• Assist safeguarding and child protection matters with discretion and empathy.
• Interact face-to-face with students, staff, parents and external agencies.
• Maintain safeguarding records and coordinate with relevant partners.

Contract: Full-time 20 hours per week. Term timeonly plus 5 training days

Hours: Monday - Friday 10.00am - 2.00pm

Salary: Level 3B (Point 6 - 8)

Actual Salary Range: £12,357.00 - £12,754.00(dependent on experience)

Aboutthe Role
