Job summary

Redborne Upper School and Community College is seeking a proactive Safeguarding Officer to support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy DSL in creating a strong safeguarding culture. The role involves case management with discretion, empathy and collaboration with staff, students, parents and external agencies.

This positioned post is 20 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days, with a salary range of £12,357.00–£12,754.00, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with safeguarding and child protection processes.
• Experience supporting DSL/DDSL teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience liaising with parents and external agencies.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the DSL and DDSL in safeguarding culture development.
• Assist with safeguarding cases with discretion and empathy.
• Liaise with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate safeguarding records and admin tasks.
