Job summary

Redhill Academy Trust is seeking a part-time Safeguarding Officer to support safeguarding across Hall Park Academy in Nottingham. The role is 15 hours per week, term-time only, with a focus on safeguarding across the academy and collaboration with staff and external agencies.

You will be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, handling safeguarding matters, maintaining records with discretion, and promoting student welfare while supporting a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and proactive safeguarding professional with focus on welfare of children and young people.
• Strong communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Confident working with students, families, staff and external agencies while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting safeguarding service operations daily.
• Provide source of support, advice and expertise to promote safeguarding for students and staff.
• Collaborate with safeguarding team and external agencies to ensure effective safeguarding practices.

As a Safeguarding Officer you will be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working as part of the safeguarding team, supporting the effective operation of the safeguarding service on a day-to-day basis. They will act as a source of support, advice and expertise to promote safeguarding to students and staff in the academy.
