Job summary

• Experience working with young people in education, social care, youth work or similar settings.

• Ability to build positive professional relationships with students, parents/carers, colleagues and external agencies.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate, confidential records.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with sensitivity to information handling.
• Experience managing difficult conversations and de-escalation.
• Proactive, resilient and solution-focused approach to supporting students and families.

Job Title: Safeguarding Officer

Location: The Milton Keynes Academy

Salary: £31,015 - £36,581 per annum (dependent upon experience)

£26,307.22 - £ 31,028.29 per annum (actual, pro-rata)

Contract Type: Permanent (Term time only plus 2 weeks)

Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 16:00pm & Friday 08:00am - 15:30pm
