Job summary

Prospere Learning Trust seeks a Safeguarding Officer for CHS South in Manchester. This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours/week, all year) with a starting salary of £34,237. You will support learners by safeguarding wellbeing, managing welfare concerns, and coordinating with families, staff, and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Monitor and track learner attendance and punctuality.
• Identify and address attendance concerns through interventions.
• Support safeguarding and welfare concerns management.
• Maintain accurate attendance and safeguarding records.
• Liaise with learners, parents/carers, staff, and external agencies.
• Conduct welfare checks and provide pastoral support as required.
• Promote a culture of attendance, wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Produce attendance and safeguarding reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Officer to join our fantastic team at CHS South.

This is a Grade 6, permanent post working 35 hours per week, all year round. The starting salary is £34,237.

This is a permanent, full time role starting once all pre-employment checks have been completed.

Main Purpose Of The Job

To support learners by promoting excellent attendance, safeguarding their wellbeing, and ensuring any welfare concerns are identified, recorded, and addressed appropriately. The role will work closely with learners, families, staff, and external agencies to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

CHS South is a 11-16 eight-form entry, mixed, comprehensive school opened in conjunction with Chorlton High School in 2018. Our school provides a full capacity of 1200 in our brand-new building which opened in September 2021.
