Job summary

East Sussex County Council is seeking a Safeguarding Consultant to support safeguarding reviews in schools and to develop and deliver high quality training for school leaders and DSL teams. This role is for 2 days a week, with one day on a Thursday due to service requirements.

You will collaborate with other agencies within the safeguarding system and work across a range of schools to improve practice and multiagency arrangements. Travel across the county is required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering safeguarding reviews in schools or colleges.
• Ability to design and deliver safeguarding training for school leaders and DSL teams.
• Experience collaborating with multiagency partners in safeguarding contexts.
• Willingness to travel across the county and occasionally to other areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding reviews in schools and colleges.
• Develop and deliver high-quality safeguarding training and guidance for school leaders and DSL teams.
• Represent Education in multiagency safeguarding discussions and forums.
• Travel across the county to fulfill service requirements and support schools.
