Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Case Worker to join the Adults’ Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Havant. You will handle safeguarding referrals via telephone and online, triaging cases and providing signposting with a compassionate, professional approach.

Working hours are 37 or 24 per week with hybrid working from Public Service Plaza, Havant. The role offers a permanent contract or a temporary 12-month appointment, with opportunities for development within the council’s

Qualifications

Experience handling safeguarding referrals via phone and online.
Strong communication and IT/record-keeping skills.
Resilience, adaptability and compassionate approach.
Awareness of Care Act 2014 Section 42 or willingness to research.

Responsibilities

Triaging incoming telephone and online safeguarding referrals, completing Section 42 enquiries, and understanding when to elevate cases to the management team.
Providing signposting where appropriate, directing individuals to the relevant team or partner agency.
Preparing clear and concise reports.
Achieving performance targets on the number of calls and online referrals you complete, as well as the quality of your responses.
