Overview

Are you flexible, looking for a challenge and a role where no two days are the same? Then this is the role for you!

We are looking for an experienced administrator to work within the Children and Young Peoples directorate in the Wakefield Families Together Castleford and Pontefract Cluster based at The Airedale Centre, Castleford.

Responsibilities
  • Minute taking at various multi-agency meetings, reception duties, dealing with telephone calls from members of the public and internal colleagues, room bookings, financial tasks and general administrative tasks to support our senior managers and social work teams and other professionals, including regularly updating our social care recording system.
Qualifications and skills
  • Excellent customer care and communication skills are essential, with the ability to work as part of a team or independently using your own initiative.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as many tasks must be completed within statutory timescales.
  • Fully aware of data protection and confidentiality, working with extremely sensitive and emotive information on a daily basis (including information relating to abuse and injuries to children and young people).
Hours and safeguarding

Core office hours are 8.30 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 - 16.30 on Friday. This post is part of the flexi time scheme. A standard DBS check and clearance are required for the posts.
