Job summary

Amey is offering a permanent S&T Installations Supervisor role based in Bedford or Doncaster. You will oversee Signalling & Telecommunication contract works on-site 37.5 hours per week, with some weekends and night shifts required.

You will lead delivery of installations to contract specs, manage safety and ensure programmes and target costs are met. The position provides progression opportunities within Amey’s E&S team and a focus on safe, efficient site delivery.

Qualifications

• S&T rail installations experience.
• IRSE license in installation activities (desirable).
• Proven experience supervising signalling installation activities.
• PTS.
• Health & Safety training (IOSH/CITB SSSTS).
• SMTH.
• Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure signal installation works meet standards and handover to TIC with minimal defects.
• Test works to SMTH.
• Participate in risk assessments and implement control measures when required.
• Provide information to planning to ensure accurate site paperwork.
• Participate in reviewing/preparation of resource schedules, methodology and Work Package Plans and Briefings.
• Keep the Project Manager/Construction Manager updated on progress.
• Lead workforce including subcontractors and tier 2 labour to maintain safety and performance.
• Attend Safety Briefings, Tool Box Talks, WPP, Pre Work / COSS and Task Briefings.
• Liaise with the site team to ensure efficient site operations.
• Attend planning and progress meetings as required.
