Job summary

Modine in Leeds seeks an experienced Project Manager to join the Systems & Lifecycle Management team. You will lead end-to-end delivery of HVAC and BMS solutions for data centre environments, coordinating multi-site activities and ensuring on-time, on-budget performance.

The role requires engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/degree), a CSCS card, and proven ability to lead, drive QA/QC, and manage subcontractors. Travel to Europe may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple Airedale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget.
• Assist with sales forecasting, monthly and quarterly, manage Application for Payment processes and Invoicing to achieve targets.
• Drive continuous improvement through the Project & Delivery team and QA/QC processes.
• Reporting and relationship management with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage project delivery from Sales handover to site handover; coordinate multi-site manufacturing and subcontractors.
• Chair project meetings and handle customer queries, variations and progress reporting.

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our Systems & Lifecycle Management team in Leeds. In this role you will be part of a highly skilled team that are responsible for end to end Project Management and Delivery of market leading HVAC and BMS solutions for critical Data Centre environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping standard practices and processes implement within the Project & Delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple key Airedale projects, ensuring they are successfully delivered safely, on time, on budget, profitably
• Assist with sales forecasting, monthly and quarterly, manage Application for Payment processes and Invoicing to achieve targets and forecasts
• Drive continuous improvement through the Project & Delivery team as well as the wider business, maintaining robust QA/QC processes ensuring high quality project delivery is achieved
• Reporting
• Build and maintain relationships with key Airedale Clients, Subcontractors and Suppliers at all levels
• Responsibility for all elements of Project Delivery from Sales handover to site handover
• Coordination of multiple parties (internal and external), including multi-site manufacturing processes
• Management of sub-contractors e.g. Health & Safety, Quality, CDM, progress reporting, etc
• Organisation and chairing of project meetings, internal and external
• Liaising directly with customers regarding specification queries, program of works updates, payment application queries/disputes
• Variation management. Customer and sub-contractors.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Experience delivering HVAC or BMS related projects
• HNC/HND/degree in an engineering discipline
• CSCS card
• Ability to lead, set standards and drive process
• Attention to detail and understanding of QA/QC processes
• Excellent communication skills at all levels internally within the business and externally with customers and suppliers, subcontractors
• Positive and proactive attitude
• Strong organisational skills, ability to work to deadlines and effectively prioritise
• Flexibility to work away from home as required which may include projects in Europe
• Experience of working within Data Centres
• Commercial awareness, P&L experience, cost control, experience with Subcontract agreements
