SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting for a Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant for a large primary school in Brent, North West London. The role focuses on delivering Read Write Inc.

phonics interventions to pupils, helping them develop early reading skills and confidence. The successful candidate will work with small groups and occasionally one-to-one, supporting children with blending, decoding and phoneme recognition.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to deliver structured phonics interventions.
• Experience with Read Write Inc. (RWI) phonics is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering small-group interventions or supporting early reading development.
• Strong spoken and written English with clear pronunciation and modelled phonics sounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted phonics interventions to small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
• Support pupils with phoneme recognition, blending, segmenting, decoding and early reading fluency.
• Use Read Write Inc. strategies and resources to deliver structured sessions.
• Support pupils with gaps in phonics knowledge to keep pace with peers.
