phonics interventions to small groups and, where needed, individuals, helping pupils improve blending and early reading skills. The role emphasizes structured, consistent phonics sessions, close collaboration with teachers and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar in a primary school.
• Experience using Read Write Inc. (RWI) phonics is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of systematic synthetic phonics, blending and decoding.
• Excellent spoken and written English with clear pronunciation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted phonics interventions to small groups and on a one-to-one basis.
• Support blending, segmenting, decoding and early reading fluency.
• Use Read Write Inc. (RWI) strategies to deliver structured phonics sessions.
• Monitor pupil progress and communicate attainment to teachers.
