Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in Ashbourne (UK) is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our two-branch practice. The role is full-time on a 12-month fixed-term contract and primarily based at Ashbourne, with opportunities to work across Wirksworth.

You will deliver nursing care across a varied caseload, support theatre procedures, and contribute to client education while developing in a supportive, first-opinion environment.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload.
• Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing.
• Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery.
• Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare and client education.
