Job summary

Island Veterinary Associates is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract across our Wombourne and Gornal sites. You will work in a supportive, first-opinion practice with x-ray, ultrasound and lab facilities, delivering high standards of nursing care and client service.

You will assist with surgical procedures, monitor anaesthesia, run nurse clinics, perform diagnostics, and contribute to preventative care.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration required.
• Experience in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload.
• Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing.
• Run nurse clinics and contribute to preventative healthcare and client education.
• Assist with diagnostics, including laboratory work, x-ray and ultrasound support.
