Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Greenwich
Contract: Permanent
Start date: September 2025
Salary: 25,000 - 32,000

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant to join a prestigious primary school in Greenwich. You will be supporting teachers in the delivery of engaging and enriching lessons, providing 1:1 and group support for pupils, and helping to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant - responsibilities:

Provide support to the class teacher during lessons and activities
Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans for individual students
Help maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning
Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or other learning barriers
Supervise small groups of students to reinforce learning concepts and improve skills
Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom materials
Work closely with other members of the school team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning
Help with administrative tasks, such as recording pupil progress and preparing displays

Russell Group Primary Teaching Assistant - requirements:

2:1 or above from a Russell Group university (academic subjects preferred)
Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the primary curriculum
Patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with children and staff
Excellent communication skills
Committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education
Previous experience working with young people
Willingness to obtain a DBS
