Descripción del empleo

Based in Beauly, Highlands (Hybrid Working Available)

For this role we are offering an introductory bonus and help with moving costs for the right candidate.

Build your career in one of Scotland's most diverse rural landscapes. Bell Ingram is looking for a Rural Surveyor / Land Agent to join our friendly and experienced team in Beauly.

Whether you're an MRICS-qualified Surveyor, working towards professional qualification, or have strong relevant experience in rural property, this is an opportunity to work on an exceptional range of projects across the Highlands while developing your career with one of the UK’s leading independent firms of rural business specialists.

From traditional estate management and valuations to renewable energy, natural capital and strategic land advice, you'll work with a diverse client base including private estates, farmers, landowners, businesses and public sector organisations. With genuine responsibility, varied work and excellent support for professional development, this is a role where you can build long-term client relationships while continuing to grow your expertise.

The Role

No two days are the same. Working as part of our Highland team, you'll manage and support a varied portfolio of rural clients, delivering professional advice across a broad range of rural surveying disciplines. Depending on your experience, you'll take ownership of client relationships while developing your technical and commercial expertise.

Your work will include:

  • Estate management for rural estates, farms and private clients.
  • Rural property sales, acquisitions and landlord & tenant matters.
  • RICS Red Book valuations and property appraisals.
  • Compensation, servitudes and wayleave negotiations.
  • Advising on renewable energy projects including wind, hydro, solar and battery storage.
  • Strategic land management advice covering forestry, natural capital and diversification opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy genuine variety, autonomy and responsibility while working alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, solving problems and helping rural businesses and landowners achieve their objectives.

You'll ideally have experience within rural surveying, estate management or land agency, although we're equally interested in ambitious individuals looking to take the next step in their career.

You'll bring:
  • Experience in rural surveying, estate management or a related discipline.
  • MRICS or AssocRICS qualification, or be working towards professional qualification (or willing to do so with our support).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach.
  • A full UK driving licence.

It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:

  • RICS Registered Valuer status.

If you have the right experience and enthusiasm, we'll support you in achieving professional qualifications and continuing your career development.

Why Join Bell Ingram?

Our people tell us that it's our friendly, welcoming culture that sets us apart. We're not a large corporate organisation – we're a supportive team where you'll be trusted with real responsibility, given the autonomy to thrive, and encouraged to collaborate across different disciplines. With a wide variety of work and opportunities to develop your skills, you'll be part of a business where your contribution really matters.

We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: We offer compensation that reflects your skills and experience
  • Bonus and referral schemes
  • Generous car allowance for eligible employees
  • 33 days holiday, an additional day off for your birthday, and option to buy a further 5 days per year.
