Job summary

Savills Scotland Rural Consultancy seeks a highly experienced professional to deliver Red Book valuations and strategic advice for private clients across rural and prime assets in Scotland. You will work from Aberdeen with possible hybrid links to Inverness and Perth, collaborating with colleagues across offices.

You will provide expert witness, lead negotiations, and drive new business opportunities while mentoring junior staff and coordinating cross-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Red Book Valuation for all purposes, including tax and trust advice, loan security, financial reporting and expert witness for a wide range of rural and prime assets across Scotland
• Advising mainly private clients in relation to access and rights issues
• Provision of strategic advice for agricultural landlords and tenant including rent reviews, tenancy relinquishments and assignments
• Identifying opportunities for new business
• Capability as expert witness
• High level negotiations and ability to deal with contentious disputes
• Shows leadership qualities in multi-disciplinary jobs or complicated projects
• Advanced project management skills
• Enhanced development of network of intermediaries and referrers of business
• Thought leadership and innovative approach to winning new business and developing new service lines

Role Overview

Whatever the type of property, whether a farm or estate each of our experienced experts has a specialism relating to our clients’ needs. You will ideally be based out of our Aberdeen office, though you could be partially based in Inverness and Perth offices.

Key responsibilities:
