Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network is seeking two Support Workers for a new service starting in Mauchline, with roles offering 15 hours each and a six‑month probationary period. Employment is fully contracted and hours will be discussed at interview.

A driver is essential due to the rural location; Disclosure Scotland, PVG check and two references are required before starting. Pay is issued four‑weekly and benefits include a supportive team and opportunities to contribute to service development

Qualifications

• Experience caring for adults with additional support needs.
• Driving licence and willingness to use a scheduled vehicle.
• Strong communication and patient attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with wheelchair and hoist use.
• Assist with light food preparation and hydration.
• Support attendance at college once a week and social interaction.
• Maintain a safe and tidy home and hygiene.
• Use a mobility vehicle for local trips within motability rules.
• Encourage choice and independence in daily activities.
• Contribute to development and improvement of the new service.
