Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Rural Chartered Surveyor to join its County Durham team. The role covers rural valuations, land agency, estate management and consultancy, working with farmers, landowners and rural businesses to manage workloads and grow the client base.

MRICS-qualified candidates with experience in rural surveying, strong commercial awareness and excellent communication are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• MRICS Chartered Surveyor with rural surveying experience.
• Strong understanding of agricultural property and rural economy.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload independently across surveying disciplines.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake rural property valuations, including RICS Red Book valuations.
• Manage land and property sales, purchases and acquisitions.
• Advise clients on landlord and tenant matters, including agricultural tenancies.
• Handle compensation claims, utilities and infrastructure-related matters.
• Advise on agricultural grants, funding schemes and rural support programmes.
• Support farm and estate management activities.
• Advise on renewable energy, development and diversification opportunities.
• Provide general rural land agency and consultancy services.
