Job summary

Sentry in South East Kent is seeking an Assistant / Rural Business Advisor to grow our agricultural advisory services. You will identify gaps, bring in new opportunities, and work with the team, farms and clients to meet shared objectives.

The role includes on-the-job training, travel to farms, and the chance to develop within an employee-owned company. You will have a driving licence and participate in ongoing coaching and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural advisory field or related consultancy.
• Willingness to travel to farms and client sites.
• Clean and current driving licence and own transport.
• Ability to work with teams and develop new income opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify gaps in our client offering and bring in new opportunities or skills.
• Liaise with the wider team, Sentry farms and external clients to meet joint objectives.
• Provide a diverse range of consultancy services to support farming businesses.
• Support the current workload and ongoing projects within the team.
• Travel to farms and clients; maintain a clean driving licence and transport.
• Participate in training and development; contribute to employee ownership initiatives.
• Budget and cashflow work; soil, manure and nutrient planning.
• Involvement in Sentry Membership and benefits management.
