Job summary

Teaching Personnel is actively recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to support a mainstream secondary school in Rugby. The role may be full-time or flexible, with a focus on delivering pre-set materials, managing behaviour, and keeping students on task throughout lessons.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for education, prior experience in similar roles or childcare, and the ability to commit to up to 5 days per week. A strong, professional presence and safeguarding awareness are essential.

• Ability to commit to full-time or flexible cover up to 5 days per week
• Confident, professional and reliable

Responsibilities

• Follow pre set lesson plans
• Confidently deliver the lesson to a range of classes and year groups
• Keep children engaged and on task within your lesson
• Maintain a strong classroom presence, commanding the room and setting expectations of the pupils
• Provide a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment for the pupils
• Respond to pupil queries and elevate anything appropriately, if necessary
• Leave the classroom, clean and tidy
• Remain committed to safeguarding at all times, following the schools policies & procedures
