Johnson Matthey is seeking an Accounting RTR Analyst to join a world-leading metals company with a long history. You will handle month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and support annual audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving process improvements.

The role emphasizes strong accounting knowledge, ERP proficiency, and fluent English to communicate with senior stakeholders in a hybrid, flexible working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in record-to-report or general accounting within a shared services or corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and strong knowledge of ERP systems, processes, and workflow technologies.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and result-oriented mindset, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of monthly and yearly reports, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of financial data.
• Reviewing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations prepared by operational accounting teams, investigating variances, and recommending solutions.
• Reviewing journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participating in the annual financial audit process.
• Ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations.
• Reviewing, improving, and optimizing accounting processes.
