Job summary

MAG is hiring an RTR Accountant to join the Group Finance team in Manchester on a fixed-term contract through to 31 December 2027. The role focuses on US marketplace entities within Cavu and Apollo, delivering accurate financial reporting and strong controls.

You'll report to the Finance Manager and work in a hybrid model (2/3 days on site). The role goes beyond reporting, providing insightful financial analysis to drive performance and process improvements across finance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with experience in management accounting and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to spot trends, explain variances and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities with journals and reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
• Maintain robust financial controls and supporting documentation.
• Perform variance analysis and translate data into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and respond to accounting queries.
• Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance across entities.
• Identify inefficiencies and support finance transformation and automation.
