Job summary

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) is seeking an RTR Accountant to join Group Finance in Manchester on a fixed-term contract through to 31 December 2027. The role focuses on the US marketplace entities within Cavu and Apollo, delivering timely management accounting and insightful financial reporting.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will strengthen financial controls, standardise processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust month-end and year-end closes while

Qualifications

• You’ll be a qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA and experience preparing and reviewing management accounts.
• Strong grounding in management accounting, including journals, accruals, prepayments and month-end close.
• Ability to work with stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities with journals and reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
• Maintain robust financial controls and supporting documentation.
• Carry out variance analysis and turn data into meaningful financial insight.
• Support audit readiness and compliance with accounting standards and policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardisation and automation.
• Assist with finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements.
