Job summary

Manchester Airports Group is seeking an RTR Accountant for our Group Finance team in Manchester on a fixed-term contract through to 31 December 2027. The role focuses on management accounting for US marketplace entities such as Cavu and Apollo.

You’ll report to the Finance Manager and deliver month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, while strengthening controls and improving processes. Collaboration with Group Finance and Cavu is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with experience preparing and reviewing management accounts.
• Experience in month-end close, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and provide meaningful financial insight.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities with journals, accruals and ledger reviews.
• Ensure results are accurate and compliant with accounting standards and deadlines.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Maintain robust financial controls and supporting documentation.
• Carry out variance analysis and provide insights to stakeholders.
• Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardisation across finance processes.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements.
